i jimmy rigged a vacuume hepa filter and used it to filter in my cloudy lamp and it worked! it came out beautifly clear and after 3 droplets of bubble soap shes flowing like a champ :)
it really is orangish red. not the typical dark bloody red that came with the red/clear coaches so i dont think its original to tha coach lamp.

hi jolietgreg!, dont you just LOVE coaches? they are my fav style of lamp!
im new to collecting lamps as well but i was told by jonas clark (a member that knows far far more than i) that this (my lamp) coral/clear combo was an early color produced for a short amount of time before they swiched to the dark bloody color red wax. so its pretty rare and i think early 70s. post some pics of your lamp and im shure someone will tell you all the info :)
I just got my boyfriend a Coach Lantern,The globe that it came with is a Clear / Red. When we went to go run it,it had a orangeish tint to the liquid and the lava was a reddish orangeish color as well.It may just be the age of the lamp? :)
thanks cristy! it did turn out rather nice :)
It's beautiful!! =)
