You can Brad! I have a couple sets of these as well as a couple sets of old Beacon replacement bulbs. The Celebration models work great, they get to boiling faster than the old bunch. Older ones win in terms of casing illumination though, a more true red and green. Picture shows a comparison but is camera phone blown out a little, imagine them as darker, haha. Top 2 are Beacon from late 70's and bottom is new Celebrations build. Sometimes the Beacon ampules need a shake to get going, I have 2 that like to act up.

bubble lights are awesome.  can you still buy them new?  haven't seen them in years.

I do too Jonas! Managed to find that mint puppy at thrift AND it was half price day. I am currently on the hunt for an Evergleam or Imperial Arctic Star aluminum tree, preferably 150+ branch model. Once I lock down the tree I will need to find the perfect color wheel for it

I had been shopping out aluminum trees over the weekend. May need to get one after Christmas when the auction prices drop, color wheel and rotating stand galore!
