Is this really possible? I go out about every 6 months or so and check on the local offerings from Lava. It is just a little check to see if anything has improved in the quality and performance of the lamps. On July 21, 2010, I brought home 10 lamps from three different stores and checked them for obvious defects such as scratched glass, bent bases and cloudy liquid. You know the routine. I found the two pictured here and they are a matching pair of K2103s dated 090910D. The date, 2009-09-18 on the base labels is also a match. They flow quite well if you put them on a dimmer. Thanks guys for having one known good day out of 365. Unfortunately, the other eight didn’t pass the test and had to go back to their homes on the store shelves. I don’t know a lot about statistics, but I think the odds of winning the Mega-millions lottery are probably better than finding these two lamps.
