Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Just acquired this lamp recently only to discover it is next to impossible to find (online) for sale. I'm pretty happy with it. Stands almost 20 inches and weighs a ton as it it made out of resin.

I thought about posting there, too. Hmmm...

That dude just rubs me the wrong way. I did consider writing the owner of the store (as listed in the auction), but wonder if the owner *IS* who wrote me. I can't believe someone who runs a business would act that way! Apparently, I am more upset about image stealing than most people. :P

btw, I just went to their facebook page and sure enough my comment was deleted, haha.

I clicked the "contact member" link on comicinterlude's ebay profile but it never gave me the option of actually writing something to them....weird. Anyhow, I notice the auction is "ended" not sold, lol. I thought there were like 8 days left on it. Erin, perhaps your messages made him cancel it and for that I thank you.

Honestly, as crappy as it is when someone steals your pic there's no harm done to me, but I think selling an item using a photo that is not of the actual item you are selling isn't cool. Be honest in your dealings, if you don't have a pic use a stock photo and tell the potential buyers that it may not (or may) be as shown...or hey, ask the uploader of the pic (in this case it would have been really easy to locate me) and just ask.

Meh, I was actually thinking of selling this lamp, then thought I might trade it. I had a potential good trade lined up but I suspect he may have searched Hulk lava lamps and saw that ebay auction thinking it was mine selling for so little. That trade isn't going to happen now unfortunately.

Thanks for your support guys. I can't believe what a douche he was in his responses. May be time for a new review on google with a quote from his response to you Erin.

I can't stand buttholes, so I wrote back:

"Great way to talk to potential customers. I'll be sure to share your response with all the members of my forum.

In the future, since you seem to be so receptive of constructive criticism (note MY sarcasm?), you shouldn't write "This item comes in as pictured and as described condition. The item the buyer will receive is the item pictued.." WHEN IT'S NOT YOUR PICTURE.

Have a great day (note my sarcasm again)!"

Really, there's not much you can do when you dont have a copyright on the image. Now if Jason were to be selling his lamp on ebay and this guy came along and took his picture for his own auction then yes, you can contact ebay and tell them and they will remove it. I've had this happen to me. Fortunately the seller wasn't a dick about and they removed it without going thru ebay.
