I was afraid of that, since this is a Chinese lamp. I think I might have actually found the very bulb though, believe it or not! It's a 30 watt, 120v, type R12. All of the other lamps that I have either have a 40 watt or 25 watt. This is the first 30 watt lamp that I've owned. I think I can actually get these at Wal Mart!
most of the odd replacement bulbs have to be located online, usually shipped in from Asia
Only things that suck about it so far:
- Backup bulb has been hard to locate
- The cap is sealed in a way that I don't know how to remove it
- I love the fact that the bottle is slightly recessed at the top and bottom to allow for the base and cap, but if I ever break it...a mathmos bottle won't fit it, as I originally hoped it might. I honestly have no idea where I might get a replacement bottle.
- I'll probably never find another one of these. :(
