yep I wired it for US, I used the guts of a crappy 20 oz. and just stuck a 40watt (like they use on LL rockets) on there. Non reflector type. Works great.

Comment by Jim on April 19, 2012 at 2:48pm: I'll be doing the same with my silver Glitterball with a copper Astrobaby base. You rewire for the US Doc and if so, what wattage bulb you using? I think the Glitterball calls for a 30 watt reflector, but I don't think they offer those for the US. Was thinking of ordering some 30 watt appliance bulbs but thought I would check with da man first. What say you?
