I should update this photo, I have a couple more up there now since I took this.

@ MaGoo, yes the shelf is like a bookshelf so the wires go behind it, and I have 3 off those lamps in the photo on one 1 dimmer since those tend to get hotter.

Dr. WHAT, do you just have a gap there behind your shelves to run the cords behind your shelves, I am guessing..and do you have these lamps running on dimmers?  Thanks for any info in advance!

I definitely like this idea. Needs one of those generic "peace lamp" shapes, too, and a red/clear Glo-Oozy tube.
