My lava lamps

I've seen members with >100 lamps, so I'm a bit embarrassed to "show off" my tiny mini-"collection", but oh well... ;-).
As you can see I have quite a lot of space left on this shelf for future lamps ;)

From L-R: Mathmos AstroBaby (clear/black, IIRC bought in mid 90's, then with blue/blue globe I think), Lava Lite Lightning 2 plasma lamp (blue, bought yesterday), Mathmos Astro (violet/red, bought early December).

Also visible are my Disney Vinylmation Tron Legacy Mickey Mouse figures and an unrelated Disney Fantasia-based Mickey Mouse figure.

The AstroBaby's Clear/Black globe was not my first choice. Mathmos shipped that one, while I ordered the Clear/Blue bottle. I will probably get the correct bottle this week, however I quite started to like the Clear/Black one in the meantime....

In the evening, I really enjoy looking at that shelf. I'm not in a hurry to add new lamps, but I'm quite sure I will add other ones over time.

I would rather have 1 lamp that I truly love, than 20 lamps that I'm not really excited about...that I just got to complete a set, or got just because I really wanted a new lamp, and it was all that was available right then. It's better to just save that money for something you'll likely treasure for a long time!

You have some great lamps already! The AB's are delightful, and branching out early into plasmas will likely be a satisfying venture. Good luck, sir!

Luv the Disney collection!!!
