@analog...So did u see the original Wall tour or the recent one? Curious because I saw a Roger Waters interview and he said the 80's audiences were pissed because for the second half of the show the band was largely invisible. True and if so did it upset you ?

@Nancy, I got this reproduction of the vintage lamp at Menards a few years back. I just did a google search and was surprised to see them selling for upwards of $99.

There was a psychedelic lamp for sale on here that I would like to buy.  They want somewhere around $75.00 for it. I would like to buy it if it is still available.

Yeah I'd like to find the black and white lamp I melted in my early years. And Pink Floyd is my fav band. Can you tell? lol  I saw Pink Floyd's Pulse Tour in 94' and Roger Water's,The Wall last year in Omaha. Going to concerts is a favorite pastime of mine. Seen alot but none can touch the Pink.

I had an old black and white Op lamp when I was young...er. lol  If I remember right, I melted it with a black light bulb. Never saw the weed lamp but probably would have owned it if I had. And thanks Kira, you have quite a great collection as well. ;)

Modern version of the lamps made by Visual Effects, Inc. in the 70s. VFI called them "Op Lamps" and they made a lot of different designs, from cut-outs with colored lines behind like this one to all-over Moire or interference patterns. A few were black-and-white, to use with a colored bulb. The holy grail of these is probably the one reading "FOREVER HIGH" with a big ol' color-changing weed leaf on it.
