I couldn't resist. :p I took the globe from the second Kenart glitter lamp I found, stored the glitter, and put a goo kit in it. I'm really happy with it! I admit that I was a little afraid to use a cork in the bottle...air pressure, & all that...but it was fine. No exploding bottles. :D And this is the same coil that I was using in the blue/white 32oz that I made with a kit earlier. I had to pour that one out. It never bonded with the coil.

looks great! i thought this was a jet till i read the discritpion ;)
Thanks! Yeah, I really like the way that one particular food color looks. :)
Oh, and I just remembered that the orange 20oz that I kitted months ago has a cork in it, and a real one, too. The water in that is still crystal clear. This cork, now that I remember, is an artificial cork. Hopefully this one will be ok, also!
Nice colour.
I would suggest dropping a cork in a glass of water and letting it sit for a bit. I would think you would get some slight discoloration to the water. I think the same would happen hear. Condensation will build up near the cork and if any color leaches from the cork, it may wind up in your fluid.
Really? I figured if it didn't affect the taste of wine, I was safe. :(
Damn. I found the perfect cork-caps, too. I was planning on using them in my modded lamps!
You may want to replace the cork with a rubber stopper (or a permanent seal better yet). Cork material may leach into your lamp.
