Purchasing note: you can buy the Lutron led dimmers on Amazon.com for about $10. If you get three together(over $25) they ship to you for free. I use these with my lava lamps and I love 'em!
dial that puppy in :)
alright, thanks guys for the help!, i just bought 3 dimmers...I hope my lamps improve. Thank you for all of the tips too.
Try a dimmer Dino. If you can't get perfect flow using the dimmer below then there is something wrong with your dimmer finger.

Sometimes gently spinning the bottle in its base will cause any bare spots on the coil to get recovered. Otherwise, that bare spot will draw water in, and cause water bubbles that make small little globs like that. Sometimes it takes several times before the wax sticks on the bare spot. One of my first gookit lamps ran horribly for almost a year, but I finally got the coil completely covered, and now it is one of my best-running lamps.
for sure on the cloudy part!
Looks normal to me O.o
At least it's not cloudy, lol.
not sure as every lamp is different. generally speaking, lamps that run cooler tend to have more of a snake-like flow, and lamps that are overheating produce lots of small globes that hang at the top.
Ill try your suggestions :) will the little balls form into the one huge glob or...?
