Whats up with all the little balls of goo?

Im trying to figure this out....I got it flowing right but now all it is doing is creating tiny balls.

Comment by Loren on January 17, 2013 at 8:21pm: Sometimes gently spinning the bottle in its base will cause any bare spots on the coil to get recovered. Otherwise, that bare spot will draw water in, and cause water bubbles that make small little globs like that. Sometimes it takes several times before the wax sticks on the bare spot. One of my first gookit lamps ran horribly for almost a year, but I finally got the coil completely covered, and now it is one of my best-running lamps.

Comment by Brad on January 17, 2013 at 4:58pm: not sure as every lamp is different. generally speaking, lamps that run cooler tend to have more of a snake-like flow, and lamps that are overheating produce lots of small globes that hang at the top.
