Any Guides on how to create lava lamps at home?

Basically bought a lava lamp from aliexpress. The lava was sticking to the glass.I open it andtook the liquid out. My dad then thought that using fire to melt wax was a good idea, so now I have a even more broken lava lamp (don't worry about the money, I got my money back after opening a dispute).I don't want to have a broken lava lamp laying around because I never had a lava lamp or even saw one working, even thought since we were kids, me and my brother wanted a lava lamp.
