Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Silver Century's spontaneous explosion

Went out to the store and left my Silver Century on. When I came back I was greeted with this:

I'm not sure how it happened, my only guess is the glass had been weakened somehow, and when it got to the right temperature it just went boom. I have washed everything, all the electric cords that got covered still work. The wax coated laptop has been scrubbed but I'm giving it a few days to dry before turning it on. If it doesn't work it's no big deal it's an old laptop and I rarely use it anymore.

I swear this lamp was cursed, it never flowed right when I got it and nothing I did seemed to make it work right. Then when I finally got it flowing right it goes ahead and kills itself. I will most likely be selling the base and cap for parts, I just want this lamp gone.
