Carlisle globe with a silver cap?

Started this discussion. Last reply by Critter Feb 1. 1 Reply

Got this 32oz Lava-Simplex globe the other day, just the globe. It's labeled as a model 300 Carlisle from 1975 but the cap is silver. Doesn't look like it was once gold but faded, and the paint looks…Continue

The bottom of my Consort's bottle cracked in a few places so I am in need of a new one. Doesn't need to have wax or fluid, or even a cap (I still have the cap from mine). Thanks. Continue

Carlisle globe with a silver cap?

Got this 32oz Lava-Simplex globe the other day, just the globe. It's labeled as a model 300 Carlisle from 1975 but the cap is silver. Doesn't look like it was once gold but faded, and the paint looks factory. Also the top has a plastic plug in it, something I've never seen on old Simplex globes. Is this a later Lava-Haggerty product and someone just mixed up the caps? Or did they actually make silver Carlisles? See More

Lava-Simplex Century

Century model 100 red/amber, bottle is not original to the base. Master fluid needed adjusting. Flows well, has minor bubbling issue. Made in 1974.
