Help, Bought a lava-lite metallic lamp lava is stuck at top and sticking to side of bottle what can I do?

Got a lava-lite metallic today, started warmingup ok but then wax is stuck at top of bottle and some wax has stuck to the side of the lamp. I have had it running for 5 hours with no movement wonder if anyone can help. Also base is very hot and bottle to touch.

I must amit this lamp is terrible but not to worrie only cost me A tenner, I just looked at mathmos website and they are takeing orders for the Fireflow which is a first i never seen mathmos take pre orders, But i suppose it make orders for them to produce. Im ordering some lamps now so will pre order one of these as they look so cool. Thanks anyway for you help. I wonder why don't retailers sell any mathmos lamp and get rid of all these cheap crap.
