Costco Grande Flow

I heard that these were good. I bought a bunch .They started well but now it seems they end up just big glob on the bottom that can not rise. Sometimes stuck on top. What is the issue. How can I resolve. They are clear but are not working well at all. See Pic.

Will just a dimmer work? Have no idea how yo do the coil thing. Just leave it dimmer all the time? Any other work arounds?

I think dimmer is the way to go with all lamps, especially cheap china lamps. The real trick for the manufacturers are to make goo that don't overheat. Mathmos seems to be the only one who can, but with a dimmer you can control the flow, making it do whatever you want. The only downside is less light, but as most of has around ten lamps on anyway, that doesn't matter much either.

So the new Grandes are over heating? Me oh my. A product that still does not work 100% out of the box and STILL needs tinkering to make it work. Very sad.

Thanks for all the info. So what do you have to do to replace coils? Where to get them? How to open the grande etc? Add it with the old one?
Also they worked fine the first time I ran them. Do you have to run them a certain amount of time the first time or does not matter?
Just trying to figure it all out cause I bought a whole bunch of these!
