bottles for making your own lamp??

I've got a couple extra bases, and was wanting to attempt to make a custom lamp. Does anyone have any good suggestions for what works well to use as a bottle?? One of the bases I have is an el cheapo china lamp, the other a standard lava 32 oz. I prefer suggestions for bottles that are easy to find, lol, like liquor bottles or the like. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Also any suggestions for helping me out with the lava/liquid would be great!! I've got my collection up to a whopping 5 lamps, lol!!

Ok, done a quick check and there is nowhere I can get this anywhere near me!! I looked at a couple online retailers, but the state of Iowa does not allow liquor to be shipped to this state.....so if anyone has any other ideas...let me know.
