Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi, one of our lava lamps fell off the shelf. I had to replace the bulb, but other than that it seemed to be ok. However, the flow of the lava is not the same. It used to flow in ribbons and blobs and now it is flowing in little blobs only. Anyone know why or have a cure? Thanks so much!

Did the lamp fall off while it was running?

Try running it for 4 hours a day for a few days. Eventually the lava should adjust to the head and start to coaguate into bigger blobs again.
Thank you for the hints. I'll give it a try and report back.
It also could be runing hot with the new bulb.

Ran the lamp for 4 hours then let it rest. One day ran into the next so it sat for two days. I ran it again it is good as new. Thanks so much!
Well that is good to know. I did not know it would be a clear lamp agen.
