Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

D Electronics has a few 2011 spoilers up.

- 12oz lamp with black base/cap and 6 colors

- 32oz lamp with 5 different base/cap colors

- 20oz vortex glitter lamp

I'm excited to see the potential return of the 32oz.  I hope there is a plan to introduce some more colors and models to the 52oz line.

They officially have 32 oz lamps back on the site, listed as "limited time" offers.

They really need some better color combos...4 variations is really not doing it anymore.

However, it is good to see the 32z back.

Their facebook page explains that these are only around for a limited time because of the new pin hole bases seen above will be rolling out this summer (hopefully). Either way, it is refreshing to see 32 oz. globes on their site again after all these years, my bet is there's a good chance these lamps are leftover stock... which might not be terrible, considering the very first China 32oz. lamps weren't terrible in 2004.
I stressed to Stephanie that simple painted bases(like electricks), pinholes, and 32oz globes is an easy and cheap way to make money. Its kinda funny that they decided to combine all three ideas into one lamp. I think its a great idea and I plan on buying the whole series for the bases alone. Hopefully the globes will be worth buying too!

The second idea I really stressed was colored chrome century's. I have my fingers crossed.
I really hope some of these make it to UK shores =)
If only a Chrome series was introduced.... *sigh*

The first China 32z globes in 04 were nice. They had that aluminium pressed cap on them and came in clear and ran like the USA 32z globes.

I do know that the new line of 2011 will also include new 52 oz lamps available in different colors and bases as well. Some spencers exclusive lamps, some just available on their site. One thing that isn't changing are the grandes same ole' colors :(. But I was promised and assured no more cloudy globes. I guess the biochemist, that used to work for LW back in the day, went to china and found the issue. So the proof is in the pudding you guys, the new lamps are suppose to be released this summer so we shall see.
I'm still absolutely giving them the chance, and I have hopes that they're really fixing things.

I do as well Jonas. They are doing what they can to make LL a better product and better company and for that reason I'm giving them a my chance. I mean, why else would they have come to OG and ask us for our feedback? I don't think it's because they were bored. And they certainly didn't have to stick around after the way they were treated either. I take all this as a sign of "things are changing" for the better and I'm geeked about the new 2011 line up.

I'm just a glutton for punishment & half heartedly believe that LL will produce amazing goo. Honestly, the last I bought from them was the Grandes. I just keep hoping...

My last lava purchase from them were the Grande's and the liqudation globes when they were lava world.

The Grande's are the only china production lamps I own. But they are the older production.

Some of the most amazing goo I've seen has been from Mathmos.

The slow snake beanstalk rise in a fluidium was some of the coolest things I've seen.

my older china produced Grande's perform well with the sort of tounge rise and parachute blob drops. Equally amazing.

I love the large size of the Grande's and that's where I think LL could excel if they get the formula right.

I'm really hopeful that LavaLite will produce some new higher quality lamps with innovative base designs worthy of new purchases!
