£3 car boot Astro baby

Bought this Mathmos Astro baby this morning at a car boot for £3 no marks dents or scratches and works like new. The lady said it was pink but its more like a peach when cool. Flow is great is this a genuine colour or has it faded. The water is a pinky orange and the lava looks like its dirty yellow great colour when on and crystal clear.

as the wax is dirty yellow, being an astrobaby size i would assume it started life as the 'sperm white' you got with millenium telstars.Mine goes like a lovely yellow/creamy colour when on.

these usually came with clear liquid but who knows, i have seen a peachy one before, maybe a clever custom.

sperm white is bullshit, there is only one white and its white. It turns over time but they didnt release a white which is slightly yellow to begin with. I had several pink white's and also a brandnew one and it was pure shiny white. I think sperm white is a term introduced by ebay seller so they dont have to admit their lamp is shit and used....

oh sorry...please replace the words "shit" and "bullshit" with "edited by mod" in your imagination....dont wanne get in trouble.

Yeah "sperm white" was nothing but an eye-catching name coined by some or other eBay seller and latched onto by the others.

lol i always knew it wasnt an actual name for a colour as brand new, who would call a colour 'sperm white'?!! that wouldnt be a good marketing ploy would it!  haha  that would be like having a chocolate brown coat and creatively re-naming it 'shit brown'   :D
