Would any of you be interested in purchasing spare colourwheels?

i'm talking about new ones made up, not original ones.

Someone I have spoken to asked if there would be a demand if they were to make some. (dont worry, it wouldnt be me making them!)

Personally i would very much like some especially if they incorporated nice stuff like swirl-stripes to give a different look and also additional colours.

also, mine has a crack which concerns me greatly everytime it has to be opened to change the motor etc.

I dont know but presume these wheels will work in some other Crestworth fibre optics? i'm sure grant can help me out with that one.

Also not sure if they are the same as used in the Jupiter2?

For interesting color effects, check out Kristopher Steel's Flickr gallery of Fantasia Products fiber optics, and check out the color wheel in the Love Bug model. The Love Bug's spray doesn't rotate, but it doesn't have to with that wheel! I'll bet that design would be spectacular in almost any lamp!! It uses five colors on clear (pink, purple, yellow, blue, green) and has five sections, each with a different pattern (radial lines, radial squares, rainbow arch, straight lines, curves). In the dark, colored patterns sweep, chase and swirl all over the spray. Not sure if the fan in a Galaxy would disrupt the effect.

i checked it out, they do look very cool. i think such intricate designs may be lost slightly with the swaying but i definately think something like this but in a more basic way would look very cool  :)

Yep, thats kind of the effect I was trying to describe in my first post.

Forget the laser beam idea.....it'll scare my Hamster....lol

You could pick a single pattern per wheel. A black wheel with several color spots might look interesting as both the lights and the fibers move, making a visual chaos and unpredictability under the dome. What colors/pattern are on the standard wheel?
