Adjusting original fluid, can this be done?

I've made a frankenstein lamp with wax from one and fluid from the other. They were both USA 32oz globes and it works okay, it's just that the wax won't rise up enough to start breaking up and it just kind of stays in a column that moves up and down. I also need to add a bit more fluid. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

add propylene glycol or glycerin. steps of 1 ml should work

Yes pls advise I just filtered a couple of grandes and they are both more reluctant to flow..is fog juice the best way to go
