Does anyone know the best way to get the larger of the two coils to sit in place properly? The coil in my new Fluidium is off centre and I can't seem to get it to sit flat as it gets stuck in the smaller space underneath.

There's no need to remove the wax, just buy a couple of magnets so you can manipulate the spring from outside the bottle so you won't even have to open the lid.
If you search in the discussions you can find the original thread about this, but there's no real expertise needed, just a bit of shopping :)
Thanks for the advice guys.
Sorry about that, I read here on Oozinggoo that it works, but have not tried it myself.
I shall try these methods. I want to get the most out of my new Opal Fluidium.
That was a good method. I managed to open the top and simply re-locate the coil in its correct position using an old coat hanger. Thanks for the tip. I just need to re-seal the cap now as it's a little loose.

Sadly, although I have managed to re-locate the coil nicely, the lava lamp doesn't flow very well or, at all. Have I 'killed' the wax by running the lamp with the displaced coil and perhaps allowing the wax to overheat but without actually flowing? This will be a pity as this is a fairly rare Opal white wax for the white fluidium.
Hi Arne,
I've got it on right now. It does 'spike' as normal but eventually after about 3/4 hours in total the main bulk of the lava stays at the bottom with only the occasional excursion of a little bit of lava flowing. Very disappointing. I am using the standard golf ball 40 watt so perhaps I should try the 40w reflector as you suggest.
Using a reflector or even the halogen bulbs that mathmos sell with the fludium would probably work a lot better. - I have used a 30w bulb on my yellow fludium and it didn't really get flowing.
My advice would be to use a halogen bulb (the one from mathmos) and then run it on a dimmer - that should get it flowing nicely.
