Believe they were released by Creative Motion for WalMart, bought one last year.  They came out I believe in the late 90's early 2000 time period.  Someone will chime in here shortly. I didn't like the way it flowed so popped it open and tweaked the china flow.  Now it ROCKS!  Check out my pics.  Rare..not really.  I do see them quite a bit on Craigslist down here in Texas.  They are cool though.  There were 2 types a Torchiere Lamp where you could turn on the lava lamp first then lava lamp and top lamp or just top lamp then off.  Then there was the version without the top part of the torchiere shade and just the lava lamp bottle on top.  Did you get one..?  Looking at one to get..whats the scoop?

Hello I am currently looking to purchase one as a replacement, would you happen to have seen any down your way also, my bulb for the lava lamp portion has burned out can I replace it whats the best way to take it apart? I attempted and it looked like air bubbles were coming into the liquid as I loosened the two threaded ends at the plastic mounting for the lava bottle. Thanks!
