.so last week i won this on ebay. i thought a cloudy yellow/orange us gen1 coachlite. turns out its a greenish color with yellow wax. it has a weird metal lid and the coach top does not fit over it all the way to line up with the holes in the rods. the cord is white with a push button swich. what the heck do i have here? and how do i get this lid off so i can work on it?

Try a dimmer. That base will hold heat more than an Icon will, and if an Icon needs a dimmer, one might be useful here too.
it flowing but not right. it starts off good with a really serpentine like flow. like eels swimming around in the globe. it looks really cool but then after about 20 mins it starts to break up into a million tiny balls. what gives? anyone know how to fix it? any ideas?
i plan on replacing the globe eventually but id really like to get in flowing decently for now
thanks waggs! im still trying to get it to flow.
ive boiled the wax and filtered the liquid. its clear now and a really beautiful green and the wax is a golden yellow. now i just need to wait and see if it will flow.
the wax looks like its starting to separate. im going to try to boil it and filter the liquid.
i got the lid off. the tag inside the lad says A173056. its starting to spike but its very cloudy with white stuff in the bottom under the wax.
thanks jim. i added a discription can you read it and help me out???
Very Perty!
