Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

THANKS, OOZING GOO FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND INTEREST OVER THE YEARS!

Mandatory post update is MANDATORY.

In addition to the modded lamps that I have been selling, I will soon be offering slow glitter in LOOSE form (not contained in one of my lamps)! A lot of you have been asking for a long time now. The glitter contained in that liquid can be ANY shape you choose, and many colors, including prismatic!

But for right now, you can design your perfect lamp in lava or glitter, at the following rates:

$40 per regular glitter

$45 for replacement color glitter

$50 for lava

$55 for Custom cut glitter in any shape

Post here or in a PM (you'll need to send me a friend invite first) with your color choices. Please also state whether you want a lava lamp or a glitter lamp. I also now offer replacement glitter in 14 colors! There is an additional charge of $5 per lamp for that, but the custom color combinations are almost limitless.

ALSO...I am finally taking orders for custom cut glitter! I can also do cut glitter in virtually ANY SHAPE, so let me know if you want something special! Higher rates apply if you need me to render your design from scratch, but not by much.

- I will make a mockup of the lamp that you requested if you would like, so that you can see it. Then, we'll both be sure we're on the same page, as far as what you want.

- This will be on a first-come, first-served basis, but orders requiring anodizing will have to be skipped temporarily. I hope to be able to mod several lamps in a day, so don't despair too much if you are down pretty far on the list!

- I have a set list of paint colors, but if you really want a color that is not listed, just tell me what color you want, whether you want matte, gloss, satin, metallic, satin, or fleckstone paint...I'll see if I can find it. I know that matte and metallic colors are harder to find in variety though, so be aware of that. I can also seal your glossy lamp with a matte sealer, if you like.

- Once you have made your final decisions, you can send payments to my paypal address. I will then begin work immediately on your order,

Please note - I STILL am not currently equipped to handle anodizing...only unpainted silver bases, and painted ones until then. If you want metallic blue, red, grey, gold, silver, bronze, amber, or black, and do not want to wait, I have metallic paint in those colors. Just state your desires in your post. :)

This order is a statement that you intend to buy, but I'm not a nazi. I understand that life sometimes throws curve balls at us all. Only, if you have to cancel, please do it as soon as you can, to decrease the chances that I've made your order already!

Awesome! Well if you'll do that for me, I'll send your lamp first. We can be sure that you pay only the exact amount for shipping that way, also. :)

Oh and Erin's lamp turned out beautiful.

Thanks, GT!

I had to do Carlos' lamp over...this run is actually the third time. I finally figured out that the coil was too wide! In cylindrical bottles, it's important to remember to leave a little space between the inside wall and the coil, so the wax will be able to grab on...otherwise the entire blob will separate and float to the top. :( I also had trouble with the paint on Derek's lamp, and I'm having to start again with a new one. I'll salvage the other one eventually by stripping it, but for right now I think the best thing to do is give you a new lamp, Derek.

Do you mind making up the pictures of the lamps we ask to see?  Just wondering if it's a lot of work for you.  If it's not, then I would like to see a blue fleckstone base and cap with sky blue lava and clear liquid, and also a blue fleckstone base/cap with sky blue liquid and deep blue lava.  Can you do the fleckstone in the picture?

I don't mind at all!

Unfortunately though, I do not have any fleckstone images. :( I took pictures of the other paint types for use in my templates, but I don't know how to fake a fleckstone finish. If I wind up making some I can take some pictures and use those, but until then I can't provide you with a demo. I'm sorry!

Finally got Carlos' metallic royal blue/sky blue lamp working. :)

The cap and base need another coat of paint tomorrow, but after that it should be ready to go. I first have to do Derek's base over again, but I should be able to get them both done tomorrow. I finally have a day off...so that I can work. LOL!

I'm in a rush and haven't read the thread but whatever you're making these from looks phenomenal!

I'll be back tomorrow to read the full story!  :O)

That looks great.  Let me know the details for payment.

How about the ultimate Halloween colors? Purple and orange!

Sorry I've been AWOL, everybody! My dad, even though he's gone into assisted care, still has needed us to take him around every single day this last week. Even if it's just to "run by the bank", it still takes 4 hours. :-/ Plus we're STILL not completely done moving!

But I'm hoping that on Monday, I can mail all of these off. I'm still looking into payment options...ebay is WAY more expensive than it used to be, and etsy charges a monthly fee. Ebay want's 3-4 dollars per lamp.

There's got to be a better way! ...I mean other than the way Erin and I are going to do it. If i did that with everybody, I'd wind up getting in trouble.

Oh, and to Kelly - What kind of lamp do you want (lava or glitter), and what colors do you want everything to be?

Why even involve ebay? Just host your own site with a paypal account and an order system. You don't even have to do an order system. When I sold my lamps I made invoices and sent them to peoples paypal accounts. I sold about 18 boxes worth of lamps without a problem this way.
