THANKS, OOZING GOO FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND INTEREST OVER THE YEARS!
Mandatory post update is MANDATORY.
In addition to the modded lamps that I have been selling, I will soon be offering slow glitter in LOOSE form (not contained in one of my lamps)! A lot of you have been asking for a long time now. The glitter contained in that liquid can be ANY shape you choose, and many colors, including prismatic!
But for right now, you can design your perfect lamp in lava or glitter, at the following rates:
$40 per regular glitter
$45 for replacement color glitter
$50 for lava
$55 for Custom cut glitter in any shape
Post here or in a PM (you'll need to send me a friend invite first) with your color choices. Please also state whether you want a lava lamp or a glitter lamp. I also now offer replacement glitter in 14 colors! There is an additional charge of $5 per lamp for that, but the custom color combinations are almost limitless.
ALSO...I am finally taking orders for custom cut glitter! I can also do cut glitter in virtually ANY SHAPE, so let me know if you want something special! Higher rates apply if you need me to render your design from scratch, but not by much.
- I will make a mockup of the lamp that you requested if you would like, so that you can see it. Then, we'll both be sure we're on the same page, as far as what you want.
- This will be on a first-come, first-served basis, but orders requiring anodizing will have to be skipped temporarily. I hope to be able to mod several lamps in a day, so don't despair too much if you are down pretty far on the list!
- I have a set list of paint colors, but if you really want a color that is not listed, just tell me what color you want, whether you want matte, gloss, satin, metallic, satin, or fleckstone paint...I'll see if I can find it. I know that matte and metallic colors are harder to find in variety though, so be aware of that. I can also seal your glossy lamp with a matte sealer, if you like.
- Once you have made your final decisions, you can send payments to my paypal address. I will then begin work immediately on your order,
Please note - I STILL am not currently equipped to handle anodizing...only unpainted silver bases, and painted ones until then. If you want metallic blue, red, grey, gold, silver, bronze, amber, or black, and do not want to wait, I have metallic paint in those colors. Just state your desires in your post. :)
This order is a statement that you intend to buy, but I'm not a nazi. I understand that life sometimes throws curve balls at us all. Only, if you have to cancel, please do it as soon as you can, to decrease the chances that I've made your order already!

Hi, Shawn. :)
You are the 5th person in about 2 weeks to ask me about a larger columnar lamp. :( These lamps that I sell are actually a little bit under 32oz, and a little bit under 15 inches tall. The fluorescent dye that I use looks white, and glows blue...but all the other fluorescent colors that I know of are a different color. :(

Hello Loren,
My name is shawn, user name is East on oozing goo. I have been attempting for about two months to build a large tube lava lamp using the retro recipe but have encountered a slew of issues. Breaking the glass(vases that are not pyrex or heat resistant glass) , trouble getting the thing to flow right, all kinds of issues. I really would like a large tube lava lamp that works and won't break(glass), I saw you are making and selling them and wanted to request/order one if you still infact are making and selling them. I am not in any huge hurry , so I don't need any rush jobs or anything. I of course would pay know to get the process started but understand that these things take time and would expect it may take a little time to get the finished lamp. I am not sure if this is possible, but I would love a lava tube with flat black base and cap and had ooze that was white or clear in regular light but would be black, orange or yellowish green under a black light. I of course realize I would have to pay more for the special pigment that could only be seen under black light, if there is an oilbased product even out there. . If I am just out of my mind that the black light thing is not a possobility then if I would like to order a flat black base and cap with clear liquid and black lava. I am not sure if you are still producing the lamps or if you offer upgrade in globe size...Hope to hear from you soon, take it easy.

Sorry I've been AWOL! My dad's been in the hospital again.
I had several orders waiting for the end of February...
Anybody? :D
Where do you get you supplies for the base, globes, caps ect for doing all this. I am thinking of making a hobby out of this. sounds like fun!! Would also like to know if you still make the larger lamps. I might wan't to order one if I am not able to do this on my own. maybe in time I will be able to do this (as this is all new for me) but love lava lamps.
I have modded some larger lamps, but not for sale...not yet. :p
I ordered these lamps in a small lot From China, and am modding them myself. All I have to do is open the globe and either dye the glitter liquid, or replace it with a goo kit from Magma Tower. Oh and paint the base and cap, of course.
The globes are slightly less than 32oz, and the complete lamps stand 15 inches tall.
I am certainly still taking orders!
I just finished with several, so your timing is great. :)
And no, shipping is $15 for one lamp, or $20 for two.
I will get started on this tomorrow, hopefully!
Ha ha,,,that actually sounds neat to me, and I can't wait to make it! I think it would look awesome, and unique!
I have never made black wax before...
*CHALLENGE ACCEPTED*
How's the black wax challenge coming? :)
I'm so sorry...I've been finished with this order...all except for the black dye for the gold one...for a while now! After getting the runaround from the Michael's here in town...they would get some in...they didn't get some in...they would see about it for me...they can't order it for me. WTF! I finally found some online and ordered it. it should be here on Monday. Again, I am SO SORRY this is taking me so long! I can go ahead and get some pictures, though...hopefully tonight.
