Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I finally broke down and listed something on FleaBay...

Joy of Music Custom Glitter Lamp

Let me know what you think! I know the item description is kinda cheesy, but I was going for an early 60's ad sense. :p

Oh, and feel free to bid if you want!

Awesome! I will be watching with interest! :)

Thanks, you guys! :D

It already has more page views/watchers than any other item I've ever listed... Should be interesting!

lol it looks like people are falling on the inside of the globe!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh

It does! LOL! It would be even funnier if they rose up slowly and fell really fast, but it's the opposite of that, of course.

Cute 'themed' glitter. Good luck with the sale.

yeah nice... can you do guitars or skulls?

It sold for $10.

Seven watchers, but nobody wanted it for $11, I guess!

ANYWAY.........yes, I can cut glitter in any shape. I just imported 3 skull designs that I made myself. :)

Oh, and thanks Modulo and lala!

Have you made any strand glitter like the old crestworths yet? I may be interested if you can pull it off.

Is that like tinsel glitter? I've been looking for pictures, but it's hard to tell the width and length of the strands, let alone how it flows. I'll wager that between my x-acto and a t-square, my paper cutter (another kudo to you, Autumn), and my craft cutter that I can produce it, unless it's SUPER thin in width, but I'd have to test it to make sure that it would flow correctly.

Oh, and I hope I didn't come across as ungrateful to the people who bid/bought the lamp...I am EXTREMELY grateful! I just though I was going to get at least 1 last minute bidder, is all. :p I'll get over it. That's what I get for ending an auction at 12:30 on a Sunday night!

So thank you to Erin for bidding, and also to whoever bought it...is it a person here?

If so, congratulations!

I think the low selling price may have something to do with the quality of the photos.

The main picture I used clearly showed the shaped glitter, which was this lamp's main selling point. Those aren't the best pictures I've ever taken, though...no doubt. I tried and tried to take decent pictures of this lamp, in different places all over the house, and had horrible luck. Those pictures I posted were the best I had to work with, sadly.

This was an experiment lamp, and the auction was an experiment too. I don't mind it going for $10, I hope it made somebody's day.

...But you can believe I won't do this again without better pictures. ;P
