Coach lantern with switch on base

Hi!

Can anyone tell me more about this coach lantern? It has a switch on the base. What year? What model? Can't find any info on it and would like to bid on it.

Thanks Rich! :) I appreciate it. I read all that and still can't find anything on a coach with a switch on the base. I found one article that said some 2000s had the switch on the base, but I thought thay discontinued this model in the early 90s, so that didn't make any sense either.....

I thought somebody said on here a while back that the switch is just a faux switch.  It doesn't really do anything but is just for decoration to make it look like a real lantern.  Am I right guys??

I asked the seller and he said its a rotating on switch that turns on the lamp.....

ok, so maybe on some models it does work and some it doesn't, not sure, but that's cool that it has an on switch on the base!!!
