Another lamp from Claude's Creations!
After much research, effort, and hard work (and a causality), I have perfected and tested the remote controlled color change grande.
In the past month, I've managed to assemble 2 black automotive painted bases (only 1 for sale) and 4 standard brushed silver bases
All lamps come with 1000 Watt SCR dimmers, 5 key Radio Frequency touch controllers that will give you 14 different modes with various speed and dim settings per your command.
Strobe, Fade, Jump, Flash, Cross fade, etc
All Lamps have been tested for over 2 weeks and professionally packed for shipment.
(Packed better than when they were initial shipped)
The costs to make these (without labor) is high in order to to do it correctly
There is initial costs of the globe and base ($ Varies) +$67 in electronics and the Goo/Dye was an additional $45
Calculate in the time for labor, (almost 10hrs alone to properly re-goo and seal 5 globes), R&D costs, and materials and you will see this is a bargain.
I am offering one brushed silver to OG members at a discounted price of $275+ shipping
The high gloss finish Black base would be $350+ shipping (paint costs alone was $120)
Partial Trade entertained (Icons?)
Please PM me if your interested
PayPal accepted and preferred.
(Specks are reflexion form mat due to high gloss finish)

Very nice work, I hope they find good new homes :)
Well Arrne, good question
The LED ring would be the obvious change in size tot he proper one
the electronics would have to be external, connected by ribbon cable
Even if it did fit, there would be too much heat for the electronics to handle.
down the road, I could assemble a "Kit" but do not have a Lunar currently in my possession to measure and test from.
One sold and shipped
On its way to Germany
Only a few more available!
Faolynn Le Fey please contact me about your conversion project
For those that wish to try this themselves. BEWARE!
The R&D that went into this project is extensive
Lava light decided to change the lamp socket stem height at some point in production for reasons unknown.
I had to remove the old stem (with heat-it is threaded on with lock-tite) and add a threaded rod to get it to the correct height (Key words here)
This is for the CORRECT proximity of the heating element to the bottom of the globe
Only 3/8 of an inch make a world of difference
This is what happens when you get the heating element too close to the globe:: SEE PIC BELOW
Financial loss, well over $100
It took me a week to get the ambition to go to clean it up
thankis
it exploded with such velocity, it knocked stuff out of the back bins and tabletop
It was an expensive lesson in learning the proper height for the heating element
