Help in value and identifhing as made in USA lava lamp

I picked this up at a flea market. I paid 16 bucks for it. Its dated 1997 and I believe this is vintage made in USA. Any help on value and if it was indeed made in the states greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Looks to me like a Midnight. These were made in the USA from around 1989 to 2003. I think $16 is a great price as they can go from anywhere between $30 to $80 depending on the color, condition, and if it comes with the box.

08 is globe color yellow wax/clear water

970716  97 is the year

So it's definitily USA made

Thanks. I will keep this one and sell my made in china one. Its been running and is doing good.

US made prior to 2003 always a good buy usually.  Keep up the good work and get rid of that China Crap!
