Wiring for Mathmos jet

Hello.  

I purchased a Mathmos glitter jet and not sure how to rewire.  I heard you can use a step down.  Thank you for your help.

if it's fully functional for uk voltage, you can do one of two things to run it in the usa

either (and easiest)  fit a step-down and run it as is (on us voltage) - the step-down should also step up to uk voltage, so no need even to change the bulb - the uk bulb will run on the stepped-up power. For glitter, 25w, btw...

or run it without a stepdown with a similar wattage us bulb made for us voltage

As uk uses higher voltage, the wiring should be ok (although the reverse does not apply in the uk)

you might want to check the above with your local electrician, but it's what i've been told

over here in the UK, i keep a store of stepdowns to run your fantasia lamps - but make sure you get a good one, the cheap and cheerful ones aren't meant to run for hours on end, they're more about (eg) a shaver
