"Laff-Lite" - there are two styles known. Ad from 1969 wholesale catalog attached. Takes four(?) random-blink C-7 bulbs and has a patterned cylinder they shine through onto the outer shade. 2nd one I've ever seen, both of this style/model.

Yep, Florence Art made the Laff-Lites. Here's a tag from one......

That last link you posted, Erin, is indeed exactly what you need. And the older ones DO pop (very quietly) when they blink, as there's a metal element inside that bends and breaks contact when heated. A pink, blue, green, and yellow (I suggest pink instead of red for the 60s look).
Here's the ad. Bad photo is all I've got. Someone told me these Laff-Lites ARE Florence Art, but for all I know, they just happen to be next to them in the image.
Thanks! Looks like Wooze's is made by JA Company.

Yep the Florence Art versions had a finial at the top, JA Company had just a screw.
Ah, too bad. I wish I'd bought Florence Art one! Also wish I'd paid a lot less! LOL

Still very, very cool. I wonder, which came first: KaleidoLite or Laff-Lite?
Here's the lamp among some of my others. I really like it. :)
Very cool! These heat-flash lamps are pretty variable... If you wanted, you could buy a bunch (they usually come in boxes of one of each color) and test them side-by-side first, so you could put all slow or all fast ones in.
Loving it so far.
I have 50 of the bulbs, so I could certainly try them out. ;) I would like it if they were on more.
Yeah, get a string of sockets that take that size of bulb and put 'em all in, and test run them. Some will be off more than on, some in the middle, and some on more than off. Some blink fast, some slow. I have one of those 80s "frozen lightning" lamps with the Lichtenberg Figure inside a cylindrical chunk of acrylic, and I have a fast-blinking white bulb in that.
