I might change out the bulb in the one once the new globe arrives, just to see if it makes a difference. But not before then, these things are heavy.
don.t take my word for it what do I know the heat lmap bulbs I tried in the past burst almost immediatly maybe these are stronger ones?.
Kn...known to...explode...?? (@_@)
Also, both of those lamps are running the same bulb, unless I'm mistaken.
http://oozinggoo.ning.com/video/colossus-video-update-02could be the bulb. when I saw the new bulbs I was shocked to see a heat lamp bulb, because these are known to explode, instead of the old reflector flood bulb from before
Man, it's like night and day. :( I really feel like this might be an issue with the coil not bonding properly with the wax, but I'm not totally sure. I know in my case it was. I think turning the lamp on for maybe 30 minutes, and then letting it cool, and repeating that might help the wax to stick to the coil better.
If you're going to give up and get a clear/red though, good luck with it!
Ha ha...I just figured two purples would bookend the TV nicely, but guess I'll have to live with one purple and one clear/red instead.
You need to provide a description so we know which is bad and which is good. ;-) Its a shame about those purple/yellows. It was a serious contender based on Bohdan's picture alone, but purple/yellow has never been one of my favorite color combos.
