If there is wax on the bottom..  and you have some wax hanging at the top, try this.  Empty almost the whole lamp of the water..I mean, save it in another container..this will bring the big blob of wax at the top to the bottom.  Make sure there is a little amount of original fluid above it. Then turn the lamp on...with the cap off.  Once it heats up..take a stick/dowel and stir up "all" the wax in the bottom.  Once stirred, let it cool and solidify.

Now, add the original fluid back in the lamp and turn it on again and see if it works..worked in the past for me. Let us know!

the lamp was 8, the base i got for 50 cents
