Just checked out you discussion and I can see now it's not a Hunter Sata-lite model nor Mathmos or Crestworth. It's china made which aren't great quality but do flow pretty well. Longevity is the real issue and as with all lava lamps, sadly it only has a finite existence. Goo(d) luck with your repairs.
Hey, what type of lamp is it? Looks like a 'Hunter Sata-Lite bottle in your avatar pic. I could be wrong though. Have you tried running it for several hours? and i mean several, like say 10?
