Hey Tim, like Da9L said, No Spell Check Needed On This Site. There's only one language here, lava language.
Howard, no need for personal attacks. Tim's spelling is just fine with us. Keep your messages on topic, please.

It wasn't a personal attack. I was just recommending the use of a spell checker, as his spelling is pretty damn atrocious, and then he posts the same stuff again. I guess some people are happy being ignorant.
It absolutely was a personal attack as it was directed PERSONALLY at Tim. Without going into personal detail, Tim has a reason for spelling the way he does. I'll let him address that.
Howard, consider this your warning. Stay on topic.

So what someone can't recommend that you use proper spelling? Thats a personal attack? Sorry teachers, don't bother to tell your kids how to do basic spelling or math, it doesn't matter anymore.
This isn't school, it's a lava lamp forum and it's not your job to police anyone. You have a problem with Tim's spelling and feel it's your duty to guide him in the ways of education? Send him a PM.
This is not the place Howard.

Imagine how shocked I was to find One of my expensive custom lunar bottles didn't fit my lamp correctly, I was given the brush off once again by Mathmos :-(

I recently purchased a replacement red/yellow Astro replacement bottle via ElectricPlanet, and I was totally shocked when it didn't fit!! the whole bottle was out of shape, it sat really high in the base and easily leant to one side, the cap was the same, and the bottle was all 'wavy', as in it looked like a magnifying glass in some parts.
I emailed electric planet and they said they hadn't had any issues before and could I please send some photos of it! They also sent a replacement one (Red/Violet this time, so not to have the same issue) which was fine. Weird?
I had it first hand from Mathmos that the Telstar components are definitely from China.
Erin said:
Did I read or hear somewhere that their bases come from China, but their bottles are still made on-site? It's possible they are not making their bases by hand anymore. Could explain the quality drop.
Well that stinks. :( Which components? I know their LED stuff comes from China, but I was under the impression lava and liquid was hand-poured and the bases were also made on-site.

I'm with you on that one, Gerhard is entitled to his opinion, and YES standards have slipped BIG time at Mathmos.
Liam Floyd said:
No, he is not being ‘awkward’ – standards at Mathmos have plummeted over the last couple of years and it is no way unreasonable for a customer to expect a very high quality and finished product for the hefty price they have paid.
Johric said:The lava lamps are 100% UK made, bases and caps are hand spun on site, bottles from a UK manufacturer and obviously filled on site !
The odd manufacturing mark will be visible on the metal work due to the spinning of it and IMO complaining about the marks on them like above which is virtually minimum (Gerhard) is just being plain awkward !!!
Not everyone who enjoys this site has English as their first Language, so be kind please
