It has to come apart somehow. In some models like the Sunburst, you have to remove screws at the top to get the housing off. I think, on this one, either the spray holder comes out first and/or there are screws, maybe indeed in the rubber feet (or the feet themselves just unscrew) to get it apart. But it has to come apart.

I would have to say it has to come apart otherwise how do you change the bulb? lol I'll check it out when I get it :)

To tell you the truth, if I can't get the two halves apart in order to attach the color wheel to the rotator, it's really no big deal because the white optics are nice also. I'm actually going to buy two silver base, silver glitter Glitters from Mark H. and put one on each side of the Galaxy 2001.

The two parts just pull apart. They are just kinda snapped together. I just checked.

nice what does the bulb look like?

Well I forgot to look at that part. LOL

well I can always wait when my comes in :) I was just curious

I had a derp moment. Oops. :) When you get yours, let's do a video chat and watch each other's lamps. :D

Hey Erin, How did you pull them apart? I even used two of those rubber grippers, that you use to loosen lids off of jars, to prevent slipping. And I can't get them apart. The body of the lamp is in great shape, no rust or corrosion. It must take the gentle touch of a woman LOL  ;>).

Weird. They just pop apart with no effort. I just put a fingernail in the seam and that was it.

Fingernail? I lost that thing about a week ago up in my nasal cavity. LOL  I will keep trying. Thanks Erin

I got mine today!!! Beautiful condition too! I was able to pull it apart like Erin said and see in the bulb and wheel etc. And wow Erin your right, that AC adapter is the size of a Volkswagon! but you can get cheaper and much smaller replacement on ebay.

Here is  one for example http://www.ebay.com/itm/AC-110-240V-DC-12V-2000mA-2A-Power-Supply-A...

Also my spray seems to be a tad twister at the bottom (like braided hair) which I can undo with my fingers if I took my time. Do you think running a comb thru it would ruin anything, this spray are so fine like hair I figured it could work?
