Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Anyone know of a place to buy heat coils?  Since I got over my fear of opening up a lamp I decided to fix that clear/black 52oz one that had the open coil, and when I got it out and was cleaning it up it broke into 2 more pieces...must have been brittle or something.  I had one from the purple heritage that I just dumped to do the wax transplant so I cleaned it up and dropped that one in, but I was going to try a goo kit on the empty globe I have left over but now I have no coil :(

Lowes stores carries many types of small springs and metal coils in their hardware dept. They are sold individually wrapped in small blue and clear bags. Take a piece with you for comparison and you find an acceptable replacement.

Make sure you get a stainless steel spring all others will rust quite quickly.
