Hi all I've recently purchased a crestworh copper astro mini , I've changed the gold ball bulb I'm using a mathmos astro baby clear green bottle but the was rodent move much past half way up the bottle 

I was using a mathmos astro baby it worked fine any suggestions 

It came with this bulb and something I'm not sure what it for

Hi, I think the gizmo must be a bulb lifter, though I've never seen one in the flesh before. 

Re the wax, maybe it's only a 25w golfball in there? You need the 40w version for wax, 25w for glitter..

yep thats the bulb remover, so you slip that over the bulb holder then fit the bulb, it would have been a 40watt like andy said BUT you can get golf ball halogen bulbs which are 37watt so it will run the mathmos bottle but not as hot and fast as the 40watt, i use wilkinsons halogens in my astro mini works a treat
