The lava in my astro baby has separated, a clump at the top that will not melt and the rest at the bottom that has melted but will not flow, I have tried to melt the top bit but it just wont melt.
I am thinking if I cannot fix this that I would love a glitter lamp, any ideas on how to make a glitter lamp out of this old Astro Baby bottle? Or how to fix the broken wax?

I have removed some of the liquid and am seeing if it will all melt back together again, got some cloud but I will deal with that later.
Once it is all melted down, make sure you take a stick or something to stir and mix both pieces together. Have revived several lamps this way. Good luck.
Its back to working Ok again, now the cloudy liquid, I have revived lamps before from cloudy liquid but feel it may be easier to change the liquid, I believe Epsom salts is what to use? I suppose normal table salts wont work?
And how much? 100 gramms? 200? Its a Astro Baby so not a huge lamp.
Personally, if the flow of the wax is to your liking I wouldn't change the fluid. I would let it cycle (on/off) until it clears. That may take several weeks, but if you change the fluid you may never get the flow you desire.
