Is it basically like the galaxy color wheel?

The dimensions are 75mm diameter with 3mm centre hole and 1mm thick. The one i have is not the original as several colours, would love to see an original as four colours only. I think the one I have maybe from a fibre optic xmas tree although still works fine. Were the originals glass and what size ?

I know for a fact that there were different colour wheels fitted in the Galaxy. What is the problem with the one you have in the Jupiter? I may be able to help. Simon

Would like to have an original or copy as plastic over halogen bulb a bit dodgy. I dismantled lamp and cleaned up all parts. Sprayed motor with silicone spray which is running better although still a bit noisy. Do you know if the original Jupiter 2 wheels glass ? I am thinking of replacing bulb to LED.

Are you sure about the measurements if the existing colour wheel on your Jupiter? The photo shows a colour wheel taken from a Galaxy?

Yeah that's a Galaxy wheel

Jupiter wheels are much smaller

I have ordered some 75mm acrylic discs and transparent coloured window film. I am going to attempt to make a colour wheel up & replace bulb to an LED equivalent. Would like to know the size & material of a genuine wheel or pic if anyone can help.

here's a Jupiter wheel, it's glass, 2-3mm thick

you can replace the halogen with an LED equivalent, there used to be like-for-like bulbs available, but that was a couple of years ago, dunno now...

Good luck!

Hi Andy, Is that the original colour markings ? It looks like its been coloured in with an indelible pen.

can't remember, looks like it doesn't it? it follows the original colours anyway

originally they were fairly simply done, (look at the Galaxy), but amazingly enough, they worked
