I think that's some Chinese knockoff lamp produced in the last 10 years. I have never seen one in person, only digital renderings of the item for sale on Amazon.com
I tought it was an old Lava Lite or a Mathmos.
I asked the seller to send photos from the inside to see what it says, but he didnt send it yet.
I didnt know Chinese can make a lava lamp so close to the original...
Thanks
Oh, the Chinese can full on rip off Lava or Mathmos and sometimes do.
It's definitely not a Mathmos or Lava Lite.
Although, now that I'm looking at the pic, it looks like it's stretched vertically, and if that's the case, it could be a Lava Lite.
Either way, the lamp is in terrible shape and I would not purchase it.

thanks for your reply, yes its not in good shape but Mathmos and Lava here is very rare to find, the aluminium base is different from all the others, but the bottle could be a lava one.
thanks once again
The Chinese can't make Lava Lamps so close to the original! They make crap, and I personally will never own one! But, that is just me. Good luck with it!

The Chinese currently make the lamps for Lava Lite (Schyllig or however you spell it) and I believe some parts for Mathmos. And yes, they are garbage.
Ok thanks I received photo and does not say where is manufactured.
I will not buy it
I've got one of these in my collection and it's GENUINE LAVA LITE. If I'm correct the person who sold it to me years ago said it was quickly pulled before a rare few made it to the market because the lamp could easily fall over. Now as far as where it was made USA- CHINA . Not 100% sure but I believe it was made in the USA some time back. Your Lamp looks to be in good condition. Just give it a good wipe and if you still have stains on the base take it to a metal shop and they will fix it right up. If it has dent's like my HUMONGO had when I first purchased I simply called my guy who's done paintless dent removal work on my sportscar since haters keep attacking it for it's beauty. He came over and pulled the dent out to perfection. Crazy how fast and cheap it was to have it done. My Humongo looks great! Dent removers can work on almost any surface large or small and they do amazing work. Something to think about if you plan to restore. I would if I were you. You have a rare lamp buddy.
Can you show us a picture of your lamp? I've never heard of a Lava Lite that didn't make it to market that looked like this (thinner and a slightly different profile).
All Lava Lite lamps have been made in China since 2003. Before that, US.
I'm fairly certain this is a Chinese knockoff. I'm trying to find a pic. I saw them on Amazon.com a few years ago.
