Hey guys, have 4 pictures here. Could please use some info on. I know many of you have been collecting for years and would love to tap into your knowledge on these lamps..thanks in advance.
First up is my 71" Torchiere Lava lamp floor lamp. Picked it up locally here in San Antonio for $30 bones..seemed like a good deal. Red/red combo, has some bubbles in the transparent lava, but flows great.
Next up it my 30" inch spun aluminum floor lamp. Got it from a young man in Austin last week, paid $35 bones. Has purple/yellow combo. He said it needed a bulb and could not find one..bulb in question was a R20 75 watt reflector. Looked locally and could not track one down either, so I stuck a R20 50 watt flood in it..take a while to heat up but does get going. Will be ordering about 4 of the proper bulbs shortly. Sure if it had the warmer bulb in there flow would be better..will post model number later..the base says made in China, but the cap on the vessel is in German. Can not find a production date on it anywhere. The young man told me his dad gave it to him 10 years ago..would mean at least a 2001 model?
