Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

So, I am impatient and want anyone's opinion, lol... SO I have come to the experts. I just bought this dream lava lamp I have always wanted. Shows up from Amazon cloudy... (See picture below) ((Does it look like a 44-year-olds room with five kids?? lol)

Been running for 4 or 5 days now (10 hours or so a day). It has cleared up maybe 20%... MAYBE...

Should I wait longer? Should I return it? I want a clear lamp... uhg!

My first post, so Hi everyone and thanks for any help.

If it does not arrive clear when you first receive chances are it will never full recover to the point it's crystal clear.  If I get a lamp that's cloudy I simply return it until I get one that arrives clear as day.  I've spent too much time wasting electricity to get lamps that arrive cloudy clear and to date not one that's arrived cloudy ever fully recovered no matter what I tried.  Don't waste your time and or your money and send it back. You paid for a clear lamp not something that looks like it's filled with swamp water.  This is really bad.

Any luck? Timothy I have a 27" custom I got that was cloudy as well. I've run mine 3 days at 8hrs on, 8 hrs off. And now trying to "burst" it. Heat it up, then shut it off. So far I have seen no change in mine. And i see you are a guitar player :) What kind of guitar/amps do you have? Here's mine :\

Once a cloudy China lamp always a cloudy China lamp! These China made lamps usually NEVER clear! Send it back.

Man, all I am seeing is purple/pink haze Chinese crap!  Good  luck...

Hey man,

I'm sorry to say you should return it. I have my old one and I am going to attempt to change out the water in it. But if this one is brand new, you need to get them to replace it!

The guitar you see is an Ibanez. I love it... I suck at playing, my thing is amplifiers really.

Fixing, repairing... Love Tube amps... Building, fixing, repairing. An expensive hobby that I can't afford at the moment! lol.

Timothy,

It is a brand new lamp. I received it last Monday and I've been working wither their customer service team to try to clear it up. I havent given up yet. Ibanez, very nice! I havent gotten too much into full tube amps, I have a Vox Valvetronix hybrid. I love building guitars though. I have 5 builds that are a blast to play! And yes it is a VERY Expensive hobby lol. I always joke with my girlfriend, why couldn't I have found a cheaper hobby like she has, jigsaw  puzzles or reading lol.

Good luck, but it won't clear up.

I like building guitars also. I am quite keen on building cigar box guitars out of any piece of junk laying around... It takes a lot more work than people think, lol...

SEND THAT LAMP BACK!
