I cut the included coil in the kit in two smaller ones. The coils were very! long. the coil is I think about 60cm long, without stretching ore something else.

Where did you get the coils? I too am going to do a conversion and i'm just waiting for my kit. Did you use the original coil and the one they gave you?

Use 2 coils in one Grande. An big and an small one in the middle

250oz grande. I filled 55 "grams " i think its about 50-55ml.

Wow, after one day of use it looks a bit better than yesterday.
Did i need more or less Surfactant when the wachs flows too fast to the top?

I have a 75W Spot in it.

Hello, is it possible to make the wachs more "milky"? My Green one gets so orange when the Lamp is on. The Wachs in the Mathmos Lams looks very different.
The Flow of my Kit is great, but i dont like the clear wachs.

Ah ha! I was hoping that was the case - thanks for the info Dr, and for the fast response :)
Would you believe that the postage to Australia costs more than the kit?! International postage is such a rip off these days... never mind though, the coin jar should cover it this time around.
The next pay check is getting me one of these kits at long last :)

Hi guys, can someone pls let me know what's in a goo kit now that the shop page has changed? Is it all the same stuff as in the picture above? I'm really keen to order one but I don't know if I have to get each element separately or if it all comes together - that new shop page is pretty vague on details... :-\

I'd love to have a small pile of them to experiment with as well. I'm just now getting started on the road to figuring out how to refill them. If it works out like my other science projects I'll probably have some pretty good lamps before it's over. Can't wait to post the pics as things become available!

I laughed till my belly ached with that comment! There's probably a whole warehouse dedicated to that. Seems 99% of their stock is complete trash.
