Hey all,
I am a psychotherapist who would love to have one of those blue wave machines. I have looked on ebay and Amazon, and have had no luck. It sounds like they come up once in a while but didn't know if there is any place that sells them regularly! Thanks!

Was going through my box of instruction manuals earlier looking for something when I came across the instructions for my Glitterbaby, my first ever Mathmos lamp. Why they are not in the box for the lamp I have no idea, had a flick through and I've got the receipt for when I bought it, was the 11th July 1998 and I paid £39.95, also enclosed is a small booklet showing some of the Mathmos range at the time including the Lunar, if only I had known then what I do now!

Have just unpacked my new Mathmos Telstar lamp that arrived today and im very disapointed, not with the lamp itself thats all fine but it doesnt have a UK mains plug fitted but a two prong euro one! Im sure its a genuine mistake but until Mathmos confirm back to me that cutting off and replacing the plug wont affect the warranty i cant run the lamp :( and this is their most expensive lava lamp too! Very disapointed!

Well spoke to Mathmos today about some custom bottles for my Lunar, wasnt expecting anything as i have read on here that they wont be doing any more until the new year. Well amazingly they said yes no problem and i'll be able to have them with a couple of weeks, so my orders been placed and now i just have to wait! Really excited that i'll have them in time for christmas :) Maybe its down to the person you speak to so if anyone wants a custom Lunar bottle give them a ring and see what they say.

Gosh, is it really only a week since my trip to sunny Dorset and to the Mathmos factory in Poole? The folks we met there were really nice and friendly and even let us look around the place including where they fill the bottles!
I spotted a nice boxed Faze 2 lamp there but alas it was not for sale.
It was nice to see the permanent display of current products and my friend Paul and I even made a couple of purchases, Paul a nice replacement Astro bottle in Violet/Orange and I…

Hi everyone, Mathmos here!
Many thanks to those of you who have responded to the requests for the use of your vintage Lava lamps for our exhibition. We just have one more thing to ask of you - if any of you have any lamps with packaging that you would like to lend us, please get in touch. We'd love to show each lamp with its original box if possible and as expected, these have been quite difficult to find.
If youwould like to lend us something, could you give us a call on…

LAVA IS A PHILOSOPHY. THE PRIMORDIAL OOZE THAT ONCE RULED OUR WORLD HAS BEEN CAPTURED IN PERPETUAL MOTION. LAVA IS THE MOMENT. ITS EVER CHANGING PATTERNS ARE HYPNOTIZING YET INVIGORATING . LAVA IS AN ARTY FORM. A CLASSIC AND AT THE SAME TIME PROGRESSIVE. LAVA IS PRE-HISTORIC AND POST MODERN. LAVA IS NOT HERE TO STAY.
The Lava Lite Lamps of the 1990's will always live on in my heart forever.

This is random and has nothing to do with lava, but my family and I are looking to relocate to the above area. I just wondered if anyone had any experience in these places or suggestions. We really want to move to the mountains and are looking for a somewhat mild climate. It's so hot in Oklahoma my lava lamps actually react weird during these summer months, even with air conditioning!

I've been a bit harsh towards a couple folks lately... Like REALLY mean spirited, condesending, mocking...
just totally NOT the normal me. Yes, I'm sarcastic, blunt, crass & dirty minded... I can also be fiercely loyal, overcaring & overly enthusiastic! I guess where Lava's concerned, I should try to go with the flow. So, here's a public apology for past & future episodes of my full on Evil Tendencies... I hope they become fewer &…

So, I'm sitting here watching a Grande, an Aristocrat & my new Dexter lamps beginning to flow. I began thinking this is the most Goo I've seen in 3 years... As much as I lived for the Oozing Goo community... way back when, I hadn't visited since my Husband's MS diagnosis in '06. I quit buying Lava, packed up all 52 lamps & moved us to my Momma's. I kept a few out, The Beatles ceramics, the Grandes... but I never turned them on. We adjusted to our 7 ft. by 20 ft. room, learned to live…

Hello all,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I have a "thrift store" special, that I need some help identifying and repair advice.
Sorry for the dark image...After viewing the examples in Martina's Vintage Lava Lamp Gallery, I believe it to be an Aristocrat(?). The date on the felt, under the base is September 01, 1969. Overall 16.5 inches tall, 5.5 wide base, on bottom where it contacts the table. The globe, by itself, measures 11.5 inches…

I had a lava lamp fall and shatter yesterday...apparently the liquid inside is a little toxic and can slightly irritate your skin...bummer.

Okay, let's just do a short list...
Still wasn't using Goo, they are still in storage here :(
Hubby's MS symptoms flared up once, got home-steroids.
Moved from Erlanger Blockbuster to Covington Blockbuster, much nicer co-workers & customers!
Took Hubby to hospital for bronchitis a month ago.
Blockbuster announces freeze on hiring, cut store operating hours & cuts employee hours from an average of 30 a week to 6!
A week later, It got warm, Hubby went out…

Hi Everyone. I'm kind of overwhelmed at the welcome here! Thanks!
I just bought my first lamp ever. I had a question about it and so a little research later had me filled with plenty of additional questions but no real answer to my first one...
As I mentioned I just bought and received my first lamp. It seems it is a Lava brand lamp which was strange since I thought there was only one "lava" company Lava Lite. I ordered the 14" orange liquid with white "wax" but the lamp I…

27 in tall, was bought new, includes original boxes and bulb. Was working great but for unknown reason the pink lava started to stick to the side of the glass. I removed the top and tried to scrap the glass clean, it started working good again but then started to stick once again. Anyone know how to help
